Public library – community services provider
eRomania Gateway conducts a project aimed at supporting the modernizing and redefining of public libraries’ role as community services providers and strategic institutions in securing the access to any kind of information. To this end, the project will support the establishment of the necessary framework for the relevant stakeholders to elaborate and debate an Action Plan to facilitate the process.
The target group of the project is represented by the local libraries in rural communities and small towns. These will receive support to redefine their roles as community services providers and strategic institutions in securing the access to any kind of information.
In the end, the project is expected to result in the development of new services and facilities to validate the strategic role of public libraries within a functional, knowledge based society. |
