Infrastructure

Electric Power:
· The electric energy in Vulcan is provided by a 110/35/6 kW power station, which makes the connection between Paroseni Thermoelectric Power Station and Petrosani Tansformation Station

Heating/Hot Water:
· The introduction of district heating plant network includes these components: 21 thermic points, equipped with 117 heat switches, and 116.4 km networks for the distribution of the thermic agent and of domestic hot water.

Methane Gas:
· Only 20% of the population of Vulcan currently receives methane gas for in-home use, but a project is in the works to distribute gas to the other 80% of the population.

Drinking Water:
· The drinking water distribution network covers 98% of the territory, but a project to modernize this system is currently being designed.

Administrative zoning:
· The administrative area is 8731 ha, and divided into the following:
· The central area and other areas with complex public interest functions 35,55 ha
· Floor-space and other complementary functions 692,30 ha
· Industrial sector 318,75 ha
· Parks, sport fields and recreation areas 38,05 ha
· Communal husbandries and cemeteries 17,25 ha
· Areas with special designations: 64,25 ha
divided into the following:
· Roads 41,40 ha
· Railroads 18,45 ha
· Areas for the networks of technical and public-utility 4,40 ha
· Other areas (rivers, lakes, etc. within the city limits that are without construction) 52,05 ha
