eRomania Gateway implements projects promoting knowledge based development and the effective use of ICTs:

1. Romania Development Gateway (RoDG) portal
The portal offers virtual framework for communication and information exchange services through the virtual communities hosted within. The virtual communities are groups developed around various interest topics, allowing users to post documents and retrieve documents, register for e-mail alerts, participate within discussion forums or contribute resources, suggestions and comments. They are managed in partnership with Associated Editors - relevant independent bodies for that particular field of interest – based on partnership agreements. Details

2. Being Journalist in the European Union
The project, jointly implemented by eRG in partnership with British Council Romania and with the support of the European Commission Delegation in Romania was aimed at creating and developing an informal network of Romanian and foreign journalists and experts on European integration topics, while enhancing practical knowledge and understanding upon the impact of European integration. 3. Eurolobby
The project aims at informing and training Romanian beneficiaries in the field of lobby activities to be undertaken at EU institutions, especially the European Parliament in order to better represent various group interests. Details

4. Romanian Development Market
Romanian Development Market is a project aimed at creating a modern e-Procurement service to streamline the purchasing function, reduce costs and increase operational efficiencies. RoDM is the Romanian version of the dgMarket, the e-procurement platform managed by the Development Gateway. Details

5. Local Projects Database
Local Projects Database Donors Database is a centralized source of information where anyone interested will be able to find synthesized and structured data on specific aid programs and projects run in Romania. Details

6. Resource Center for Knowledge Econonomy
The Resource Center for Knowledge Economy in Romania was created to provide the necessary leadership aimed at making the KE concepts operational in Romania, by structuring and disseminating the KE related information throughout the country. The Center offered operational support for the World Bank’s and Government’s initiatives in this sector, while promoting partnerships between the various actors concerned with the KE issues. Details

7. RedBook Online
Redbook is a technical assistance project implemented by eRomania Development Gateway for World Bank Caribbean Country Management Unit. The RedBook Online project addresses the need to simplify the information sharing process and promote transparency of external financial assistance information among the numerous donors in the Eastern Caribbean region. . 8. Romania Knowledge Economy Project - Consultant Services for the Information and Knowledge Access’ Monitoring and Evaluation System Design and Implementation
This is a consultancy contract gained by a consortium formed by eRomania Gateway, Education for Change Ltd. (UK), and the Institute for Marketing and Public Opinion Polls -IMAS (Romania). The beneficiary of the contract is the Romanian Ministry for Communication and Information Technology, within a World Bank funded program aimed at promoting and implementing knowledge economy best practices in Romania. The aim of the assignment is to assist the Project Management Unit (PMU) in assessing the effects of project interventions related to access to information upon the selected communities, following several comprehensive monitoring & evaluation indicators.

As well, since its establishment, eRG has been involved in an Inter-institutional Working Group for Knowledge Economy drafting a national strategy on knowledge economy. Also, eRG currently provides the secretariat of the Prime Minister's Consultative Council of Associations and Foundations.

Last, but not least, eRomania Gateway has been providing technical assistance to a series of projects promoting knowledge for development and the innovative use of ICTs, covering areas such as: distance learning, electronic voting, advocacy online, e-government, and e-democracy
